Prof. B. S. Panwar joined Indian Institute of Technology Delhi – India in 1981. He has published more than 100 papers in the international journals and conference with good citation index. Prof. Panwar is the recipient of International IBM Faculty Award, Adjunct Professor at University of Regina, Saskatchewan Canada, recipient of mobility exchange grant of Canadian International Development Agency, and a senior member of IEEE. He has been Vice Chancellor of ITM University Gurgaon from 1st June 2014 to 31st May 2015. In June 2017 he joined Sharda University as Dean Research, for some interim period of about 8 months, he was also having an additional charge of Vice-Chancellor (officiating). He is a reviewer of IEEE transaction on UFFC, Electron Devices, Evolutionary Computation, Applied Physics etc. Prof. Panwar has been consultant Motorola USA, and Honeywell Technologies Bangalore-India, and Maxim Semiconductor USA. He has delivered lectures at the University of Regina, McMaster Canada, DIMES The Netherlands, had active participation in the multi-disciplinary program on VLSI Design Tools and Technology at IIT Delhi, and coordinated this programme which was sponsored by leading multinational companies such as Philips Semiconductor, Texas Instruments, Nokia, Cypress, Analog Devices.
Prof. Panwar also nucleated an interdisciplinary team to address the project requirement of Motorola, USA on development of high-performance Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters. He has successfully completed R&D projects exceeding 1million USD and consultancy assignments more than 0.1 Million USD. He is instrumental getting sponsorship to host Indocrypt 2018 at Sharda University in December 2018, with an estimated sponsorship of Rs. 50K USD. Prof. Panwar has a project from Dept. of Sci. and Technology with an outlay of 84 lacs and with an outlay of 47 Lacs. From Science and Engg. Research Board.
